More than 3,300 online applications to reexamine pensions were filed to the National House of Social Insurance during the first days of 2022. Out of these, 3,272 are applications to reexamine the old-age pension, of the about 22,000 forecast, while 64 are applications to reexamine the disability pension, of the 2,000 projected, IPN reports.
As from January 1, 2022, one can ask to have the old-age pension reexamined if they obtained this benefit after January 1, 1999 and worked for five to seven years more after retirement. Also, there can be reevaluated the disability pensions set before January 1, 1999 for persons who worked for two and more years after retirement.
To reduce the flow of applicants at the local subdivisions of the National House of Social Insurance, the recipients are urged to submit the application to reexamine the pension online by accessing the banner “e-Application for Pension Reexamination” on www.cnas.gov.md.
There are about 680,000 pensioners registered in Moldova at present.
