Over 300 national and international organizations are involved in preventing and combating trafficking in human beings in Moldova. 11 of those 300 organizations participated on Saturday, September 7, to the meeting of the Press Club, which tackled the issue of trafficking in human beings and illegal migration in the Republic of Moldova. The representatives of UNDP Project „Better opportunities for youth and women”, International Organization for Migration, International Center „La Strada”, Anti-trafficking Program of the OSCE Mission in Moldova etc., discussed about the specific character of the organizations they represent and activity they perform. Both the representatives of the organizations and of the Press Club draw the conclusion that although many organizations work in the area of trafficking in human beings this problem is one of the most serious in Moldova. The students of the Journalism School conducted by the Independent Journalism Center, who will write news on the basis of the information presented by the members of the anti-trafficking organizations which participated to the Press Club.
