As of January 1, 2021, there were received 23,732 applications for reexamining the old-age pension, for the insurance period worked after retirement. The National House of Social Insurance said that 17,298 decisions over these applications have been adopted by February 18. This is 73% of all the applications, IPN rapports.
The size of pension after reexamination depends on the length of the insurance period and the size of the insured income. To clarify the data that have an impact on the size of the pension, the local social insurance houses make approaches to employers. In such a situation, the calculation of the pension after reexamination during the set period is possible only based on the swift cooperation of the economic entities with the National House of Social Insurance.
As from January 1, 2021, the recipients of old-age pensions who retired after January 1, 1999, but continued to work and have an insurance period after retirement of seven to ten years can ask to have their pensions reexamined.
