Over 200 Moldovans remain stuck at airport in France, PM Chicu reacts

More than 200 Moldovans who were to return home by a charter flight got stuck at an airport in France on March 30. Prime Minister Ion Chicu reacted to this case, saying the people should be maximally attentive when they buy tickets for charter flights and should not purchase tickets before the given flights are authorized by the Commission for Exceptional Situations, IPN reports.

“About 220 persons were misled by swindlers, including political ones, who deceived them by saying that a flight from Paris was authorized. The Commission for Exceptional Situations authorized the flight for March 31 and the swindlers intentionally gathered together the people at the airport so as to deride them. Owing to their sick mind, these swindlers consider that they can gain political advantages by such challenges. I ask our citizens not to come to the airport before they are sure that the flight was authorized,” Premier Chicu posted on Facebook.

He noted that the following charter flights were authorized for the next few days:

Air Service Liege, of March 31, London - Chisinau - Antwerpen;

Air Moldova, March 31, Chisinau - Paris (CDG) - Chisinau;

Air Moldova, of April 2, Chisinau - Paris (CDG) - Chisinau;

Flyone,  of April 3, Chisinau – Prague - Chisinau;

Air Moldova, of April 4, Chisinau – London (Stansted) - Chisinau;

Flyone, of April 5, Chisinau – Verona - Chisinau.
