Businessmen from the Republic of Moldova have already invested over 1 billion lei through the government program “373”. Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that it is an encouraging start that shows the potential of this project, IPN reports.
“I’m glad to see that among the almost 250 businesses with 3,703 employees within the program, there are 60 companies managed by women and over 70 young people who develop investment projects,” stated Dorin Recean.
The largest investments were made in renewable energy production and supply projects (37%), transport and storage (23%), manufacturing (18%), agriculture (8%) and health (6%). All these projects create new, well-paid jobs and provide new opportunities for economic development in all the regions of the country.
“The government is building a strong economy and supporting entrepreneurs, creating better conditions for the development of businesses here, at home. I encourage businesspeople to invest in Moldova and continue to benefit from access to the advantageous financial resources offered by this program,” said Premier Recean.
The objective of the program is to stimulate economic growth and the entrepreneurial community by financially supporting entrepreneurial initiatives. The program subsidizes interest rates on loans for investment needs: up to 3% for loans in foreign currency and 7% for loans in lei.
