Over 187 thousand teachers rest in camps of Moldova
Over 187 thousand children are expected to come this summer in the camps of Moldova.
Of the total number of children who are resting in camps, over 1700 are orphans. As well 150 children from 8 schools located on the left bank of Nistru and in Tighina town are resting in camps.
According to a press release of the Government, at the meeting organized on Tuesday, July 8 regarding the functioning of camps for children, the prime-minister Vasile Tarlev was unpleased with the level and pace of the construction and repair works of the children camps located in a series of administrative-territorial units, although through a Governmental decision on May 13 he obliged all the authorities of the local public administration, as well as the ministries to undertake concrete and efficient measures aiming at ensuring the good organization of children’s and teenagers’ resting process in the summer season.
Although the Government allocates supplementary from the Reserve Fund MDL 15 mln more, by August 1 the percentage of funds turn to good account fluctuated between 10 and 70%. In Falesti this rate is equal to 10%, in Donduseni – is under 15%, in Anenii Noi – under 25%. Orhei, Rezina, Soroca, Straseni and Telenesti raions spent a half. Glodeni and Soldanesti raions did not turn to good account anything of those MDL 400 and respectively MDL 700 thousand allocated in this respect.
In 2006, the number of children camps increased compared with the last year, when 86 stationary camps and 443 day-camps where working. In 2000 their number was of 31, where only 22 thousand children rested.
