Over 13,000 women constitute Organization of Liberal-Democratic Women
Over 13,000 women from the Liberal-Democratic Party from Moldova (PLDM) have formed the women's organization of this party. Deputy president of the party Liliana Palihovici reasons the need to set up the structure to tackle and solve issues related to the women's active participation in all the spheres and in the decision-making process, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The women do not enjoy equal rights in getting employed, in being promoted. The situation in terms of the protection of mothers and children. The number of abandoned children has grown dramatically lately, the school attendance rate is dropping, the state does not make a priority from rehabilitating the victims of trafficking in human brings. Urgent measures are required to promote equal opportunities and to promote the women in the ruling process,” reads a communique aired by the PLDM.
“Involving the women in the ruling act will confer it more quality, as the Liberal- Democratic women have all the capacity, force and courage to improve the state of things in this country and to bring it to normal,” said Vlad Filat, the PLDM's leader.
The Liberal-Democratic Women's Organization calls on all the Moldovan women to get involved into the social-political and economic life, to strengthen the institution of the family and to build a society in which the women have equal chances to assert themselves.
