Outgoing Czech Premier comes to Chisinau
The outgoing Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Mirek Topolanek will pay a visit to Chisinau on Wednesday, April 22, to familiarize himself with the situation in Moldova following the April 5 legislative elections, the presidential press service informs, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
Mirek Topolanek, whose country holds the presidency of the European Union, will meet with the outgoing President of Moldova Vladimir Voronin and Prime Minister Zinaida Greceanii and with leaders of the Opposition parties.
The meeting of the Czech Premier and the opposition parties will take place at the Czech Embassy in Chisinau starting at 13.00, while the meeting with Vladimir Voronin will start at 15.00 at the Presidential Office. After the meeting at the Presidential Office, the officials will make statements for the press.
At a meeting with the Romanian Foreign Minister Cristian Diaconescu on April 16, the Czech presidency of the European Union expressed its concern about the events that happened in Chisinau after April 5, calling on the sides to return to dialogue.
