An Orhei man, 34, was arrested after being suspected of kidnapping a 15-year-old girl from the street on January 17. The man was earlier convicted of sex crimes.

According to the local police, the man and the girl were riding the same bus in Orhei, and when she got off, the man pursued her. A few meters later, he allegedly used force to abduct her, subsequently leaving her in an orchard. After several attempts, the girl eventually managed to escape.

Shortly, the suspect was identified, localized and apprehended. He turned out to be a former inmate convicted of sex crimes who got out of jail just a year ago.

The case is being investigated.
