Orange scholarships for UTM and ASEM Students

Two students at the Technical University of Moldova (UTM) and two other at the Academy of Economic Studies (ASEM) have won annual scholarships from Orange, Info-Prim Neo reports. This year the winners were selected from among 41 students from the UTM's departments of Computers, Informatics & Microelectronics (DCIM) and Radio Electronics & Telecommunications (DRT), and from all ASEM's faculties. The selection was held in two stages: the assessment of the students' submissions and the students' performance at the interview. Orange Moldova general director Liudmila Climoc said the scholarship contest further strengthens the company's partnerships with the two universities, seeking to encourage the students to demonstrate great curricular and professional achievements. Angela Muset, the director of the Educational Advising Center, the co-organizer of the scholarship contest, emphasized the crucial role of education in our society, which needs well trained specialists in all the fields. With this project, Orange and EAC aim to stimulate the interest of the youth in studies, so that they can become highly qualified and competitive specialists on the national labor market. The annual Orange scholarship are worth $1,000 each.
