Only a Lustration Law can change situation in Moldova, PNL
The National Liberal Party (PNL) considers that the situation in Moldova can be changed only by passing a Lustration Law that prevents persons who held important positions in the Communist apparatus or in security from occupying senior state posts, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a press statement, the PNL welcomes the adoption of the Lustration Law by the Romanian Parliament. “The passing of a Lustration Law will be in line with the practices of ex-Socialist states, which now form part of the Euro-Atlantic circuit,” said the PNL.
The National-Liberals are convinced that in Moldova they made only timid attempts to propose such a bill. No serious steps were taken because nobody wants to cut the branch from beneath one’s legs.
“The PNL reasserts its firm position that only by the moral purification of society, will we be able to name honest persons, true Romanian patriots to responsible positions in the two Romanian states and in the future United Romanian State,” reads the statement from the National-Liberals.
