In the first seven months of this year, approximately 7,900 round-trip flights were operated from the Chisinau International Airport. And while in the first few months punctuality levels were satisfactory, in July only 46% of landings and 39% of take-offs were on schedule, observes Stanislav Ghiletchi, of the IPRE think-tank.
A record number of travelers was registered in July, with about 485,000 people transiting the airport last month.
Most flights were operated from and to Istanbul (13.8%), Antalya (10.7%), Bucharest (9.2%) and London (7.5%). Most flights were operated by Fly One. During the reference period, the company operated 31% of all flights from the Chisinau International Airport. In second place is the airline HiSky, with 22%.
The three most punctual airlines at landing were Turkish Airlines, TAROM and LOT Polish Airlines, and the three most punctual companies at takeoff were TAROM, Fly One and HiSky.
