Update /4:39pm/ One more person died after the accident that happed in Buiucani district this morning. This is a man aged 55 who travelled as a passenger. He died while under intensive care.

A man died, while another three suffered injuries in a traffic accident in Buiucani district of Chisinau early this morning. An extrication team was called out. The car involved in the accident belongs to the State Chancellery, with the four men being employees of the Government, IPN reports.

The Chisinau Police Division said a Skoda car driven by a man aged 63 ran into a utility pole at the intersection of the streets N. Costin and O. Ghibu. The three passengers were rushed to the hospital, while the driver died on the way. An investigation is under way.

Contacted by IPN for details, Aura Revenco, senior consultant in the Government’s Communication and Protocol Division, said the car involved in the accident belongs to the State Chancellery, with the driver and the three passengers served the Government. The accident occurred during the working hours, when the driver was taking three mates to work.
