Companies will be obliged to ensure silence between  10pm and 7am, not between 11pm and 7am as until now, IPN reports, quoting amendments made to the sanitary regulations on noise and vibration emitting norms when performing internal trade activities.

The document sets the highest noise and vibration limits allowed near commercial facilities, in apartment and public buildings, residential areas and territories adjoining them

The decision will take effect six months after it is published in the Official Gazette so that the economic entities could comply with the new rules.

The fines for disturbing public order in the banned period range from 1,500 to 3,000 lei for private individuals and from 6,000 to 12,000 lei for legal entities.
