One more bomb hoax was reported at the Chisinau International Airport. On Monday evening, a person sent an email message to the Border Police, saying that an explosive had been planted at the airport and that reward was wanted. The specialized services carried out searches but didn’t find anything suspect, IPN reports, with reference to the Border Police.

The message was received at 8:35pm and all the necessary measures were taken swiftly. All the airport staff members and travellers who were inside the building were evacuated.

The check-in procedure was suspended and some of the flights took off with delay. Currently, the airport works as usual.

This was the second bomb scare at the Chisinau International Airport on Monday. The first bomb scare was reported at about 7:30am. This also turned out to be a hoax.
