A 19-year-old woman died and two persons were seriously injured when the car in which they traveled ran into a minibus, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the May 21 meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials, municipal police chief Silviu Musuc said the accident happened on Focsani St in Chisinau on the night of May 20. The driver aged 19 lost control of his Volkswagen Golf and crashed it violently into a minibus parked by the roadside. As a result of the collision, a female passenger aged 19 died on the spot, while the driver and another female passenger of 16 were rushed to the hospital with different bodily injuries. As many as 24 persons were hurt and one person was killed in the 22 traffic accidents that happened in Chisinau municipality last week. Seventy-two drivers were caught driving under the influence.
