A man was killed and four persons were seriously injured in a car accident that happened on the Cimislia-Basarabeasca road on May 26. According to the Traffic Police, a VAZ-2106 skidded near Carabetovca village, made a U-turn and overturned. The impact was so violent that a 74-year-old passenger died on the spot, while another three passengers and the driver receives serious injuries and were hospitalized. A Mercedes collided with a Ford on Uzinelor St in Chisinau. Four persons, including a baby girl, sustained injuries. The girl aged five months was rushed to Valentin Ignatenco Hopsital, while the adults were taken to the Emergency Hospital with fractures and cranial-cerebral traumas. A 16-year-old girl was struck by a car on Dacia Blvd, while another one aged 17 was hit by a car on Banulescu-Bodoni St. They received minor injuries. A Toyota struck a woman, 44, on Calea Orheiului St. The woman suffered a fracture of the right shank and contusions.
