On the Victory Day a series of cultural artistic manifestations will be held
On the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the victory over fascism several cultural artistic manifestations will be held, organized by the Chisinau Mayoralty.
According to the Program, the celebrations will begin on May 8 with a fanfare concert for the old people that will take place in the “Stefan cel Mare si Sfant” Public Garden.
In the morning of May 9 will be organized a meeting at the “Eternitate” Memorial and the monument from the United Nations Square. At the Memorial complex will be presented a vocal-symphonic performance entitled “Glory, Requiem, Memory, Hymn” dedicated to all the wars victims.
In the same day, at the Organ Hall the concert of the fanfare orchestras of the Chisinau schools and lyceums will take place starting with 12:00. At 13:00 o’clock in the Square of the National Opera a concert of old songs will be presented. At 16:00 o’clock in the “Stefan cel Mare si Sfant” Public Park will take place another fanfare concert.
The cultural events will culminate in the Square of the Great National Meeting with a thematic performance dedicated to the heroes that died in the war including the participation of the symphonic orchestra of the “Teleradio-Moldova” Company, well-known singers and the laureates of the Festival-contest “Faith, Hope and Love”.
