On January 1, new rules for entering Israel come into force

On January 1, 2025, new rules of entry into the territory of the State of Israel enter into force for citizens of states with which Israel has a visa-free regime, including citizens of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.

Thus, Israel is implementing the ETA-IL system of prior verification and for approval of the entry and stay in Israel of foreign citizens who wish to visit the State of Israel for various purposes.

According to the Israeli authorities, as of Wednesday, January 1, foreign citizens of visa-free states will not be able to enter Israel without prior approval through the ETA-IL system.

The ETA-IL procedure is available online.

The fee for obtaining the ETA-IL for the purpose of approving entry into Israel will cost 25 NIS, approximately 120 moldovan lei.
