The president of the National Unity Party Octavian Țîcu voted for a change. After casting his ballot, the politician appreciated the mobilization of the diaspora, saying this wants to offer the country the chance to have a European future,” stated Octavian Țîcu, being quoted by IPN.

Octavian Țîcu called on the Moldovans to invite to vote their friends, neighbors, parents and children, all those who, by one exercise of will, can interrupt all the acts of in justice done to the citizens of this piece of land during over 200 years. “Go and vote, be near us so that we win together. We will be near all those who signal violations or deviations. We will be near those from the Security Zone. As from tomorrow, we should enjoy a new time that will bring what we all want,” stated the politician.

Polling stations are open until 9pm. For the elections to be validated, the voter turnout should be of 1/3 of the citizens eligible to vote. The election threshold for a party is 5%, for an electoral bloc is 7%, while for independent candidates is 2%.
