The Putin regime assigns value to the Bashkan of Gagauzia Yevgenia Guțul through photo sessions that the Shor’s representative has in Russia, said PAS MP Oazu Nantoi. According to the lawmaker, Ilan Shor and his acolytes cannot fulfill the promises made to the Gagauz people during the campaign and shift the responsibility onto the central authorities, which they accuse of blocking projects. In the same connection, historian Octavian Țîcu said that in a self-respecting state, a person who attacks the unity, sovereignty and independence of the state, as Gagauzia’s Bashkan does, would be expected at the airport with an arrest warrant, IPN reports.
Two days ago, the Gagauz Bashkan Yevgenia Guțul and the Speaker of the People’s Assembly Dmitry Konstantinov signed in Moscow an agreement on the use of MIR bank cards on the territory of the autonomous unit. PAS MP Oazu Nantoi said that the visit by the two to Russia does not surprise the government in Chisinau as the Shor group made a pact with the Kremlin regime.
“As for the visits to Moscow, let’s make the list of those who were in Russia after the start of the aggression in Ukraine. A special prison must be built for this contingent. Not only Guțul goes there. Simply, Putin’s regime is trying to assign value to Yevgenia Gutul through these photo sessions with Putin and these foolish statements from Moscow. It is done so that when the time comes for justice to have its say, she will become a victim. This puppet, together with Shor on the monitors, promised heaven on earth in Gagauzia and, when heaven is not achieved, they say that Chisinau is the one that blocks their projects,” PAS MP Oazu Nantoi said in the talk show “Secrets of the Power” on JurnalTV.
According to experts, Yevgenia Guțul’s statement aboutg an eventual declaration of Gagauzia’s independence is defiant and should be penalized.
“Guțul openly says that if Chisinau decides to unite with Romania, they will declare their independence. But Guțul must tell her voters that two months after declaring independence, Gagauzia will be dying of hunger. They cannot develop and nobody tells the Gagauz people about it. Our problem is that we allowed Guțul to be an authority in Gagauzia,” said political commentator Anatol Țăranu.
“The people who violate the provisions of the Constitution on the unity, independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova, as Guțul does, must be waited at the airport with an arrest warrant. This is what a state that must assert itself does. As long as we play the state game, obviously we will continue to have this hair pulling, which becomes ridiculous and unfavorable to Chisinau,” said historian Octavian Țîcu.
Recently, the governor of the Autonomous Territorial Unit (ATU) of Gagauzia made new secessionist statements. Yevgenia Guțul noted that Gagauzia will declare its independence in case of an eventual Union with Romania. In the 2023 elections, Yevgenia Guțul was elected Bashkan of Gagauzia with 52.34% of the vote in the ATU.
