Mural painting to be made under bridge in Telecentru quarter

The walls under the bridge situated in Telecentru quarter of Chisinau, at the intersection of the streets Miorița and Șoseaua Hâncești, are being prepared for drawing a mural painting on them as part of the nationwide campaign #NeamPornit (We Got Started”), IPN reports.

The mural will consist of elements of Moldova’s tourist brand “Life Tree” and will be done by Dumitru Popov, who won the relevant contest held by the Chisinau City Hall. The walls are now being freed from plaster and are covered with primer. The scaffolding poles were set up and work on the mural painting is to start the next few days.

Rodica Verbeniuc, director general of the Investment Agency that launched the campaign #NeamPornit, said the “Life Tree” symbol forms part of the nation’s DNA as everything that represents a nation goes through its branches. When the Investment Agency took it over, it gave the tree economic color, turning it into a country brand that also presents Moldova’s investment and export offer. “It is an attractive symbol not only by its visual identity, but also by that internal energy and philosophy that it incorporates. During the last two years, the “Life Tree” formed part of Moldova’s national stands at international exhibitions in over 40 countries.

The Investment Agency, which is the development partner of the tourism industry, launched the nationwide campaign
#NeamPornit at the end of April. The initiative is aimed at stimulating local tourist offers given that the hospitality industry has been seriously affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
