Number of transported passengers increased
In January-November 2006, buses and minivans transported approximately 99.7 million passengers, and air transport – 365.3 thousand passengers. In comparison to the same period of the previous year, the numbers increased by 3.9% and 9.9% respectively.
According to data from the National Statistics Bureau, cited by Info-Prim Neo, out of the total number of passengers transported by buses and minivans, 69.6% go to private economic agents.
4409.1 Thousand passengers were transported via railways, a volume superior to the one registered in the same period of 2005 by 6.7%. At the same time, fluvial transport was preferred by 94.5 Thousand passengers, which only represents 74.8% of the figures from last year.
The data presented does not include the situation of enterprises form the left side of the Nistru and the Bender municipality.
