The upward trend as regards the families started in Moldova has increased, but the number of divorces also goes up. Acting Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga said the authorities aim to adopt new approaches to the promotion of family so that the people realize that it means more than a wedding party with traditions. The official made related statements in connection with the World Family Day events that will be staged in Moldova, IPN reports.
Valentina Buliga said that Moldova faces a family crisis caused by such factors as poverty, migration and the loss of certain values. “We undertook the important task of promoting the united family so as to ensure the sustainability of society,” the minister said in a news conference.
She also said that the fifth Family Day dedicated to the World Family Day that is marked annually on May 15 will be mounted in Moldova this year. The Family Day’s theme at world level is: “Social integration and solidarity between generations”. At national level, the event will center on the promotion of family as a violence-free environment.
