Two more lives were claimed by the COVID-19 disease in Moldova, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection has said. The victims are a man aged 68 from Ștefan Vodă district and a 63-year-old man from the Transnistrian region, IPN reports.

The man from Ștefan Vodă was admitted to the Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection on April 8. He suffered from arterial hypertension, hypertensive heart disease and ischemic stroke.

The second victim is a man from Grigoriopol town. He suffered from cancer and needed hemodialysis.

With the two new announced deaths, the daily death toll from COVID-19 rose to seven, while the total toll in Moldova now stands at 53.
