The Government made amendments to a number of decisions approved earlier so as to adjust them to the new legal provisions that enable the recipients of social welfare to choose by themselves the payment service provider, IPN reports.

The pensions and other social benefits that were until now paid through Banca de Economii will be transferred to the recipient’s bank card issued by any other bank chosen by these or through the state-run mail company “Moldova’s Post Office”. For the purpose, the recipient wil submit an application to the chosen bank, while this payment service provider will sign a contract with the National House of Social Insurance.

The persons who will not submit such applications will continue to receive the money in the same way as earlier.

The law by which the recipients of social welfare can choose by themselves the payment service provider was passed by Parliament at the end of May.
