Nicu Popescu: International recognition of Moldova is underlined by presence at EPC Summit

The international recognition of Moldova is underlined by the presence at the second European Political Community Summit of 48 heads of state and government. The authorities continue making effort to achieve the European aspirations and to build a modern and prosperous Moldova. Such a message was published by Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, on his Telegram channel, IPN reports.





The minister said that at the EPC Summit that is being hosted by Moldova, he had the occasion of talking to a number of heads of state and government and to foreign affairs ministers attending the event and used this occasion to thank the foreign partners for their unconditional support in the process of joining the EU. “We are grateful to them for the constant support, technical assistance, counseling and expertise offered throughout this process,” wrote Popescu.



On the sidelines of the EPC Summit, Nicu Popescu welcomed the good friend of the Republic of Moldova Bogdan Aurescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania. “Romania has been the strongest supporter of Moldova, including in our process of joining the European Union. The concrete projects financed by Romania, such as the building of bridges, renovation of schools and kindergartens, assistance to our hospitals, contribute to developing and modernizing the Republic of Moldova,” said the Moldovan minister.
