Nicu Popescu in Bucharest: We want Moldovan-Romanian infrastructure projects

“We want infrastructure projects that benefit the citizens of the Republic of Moldova and Romania. First of all, railway and road infrastructure, including the construction of bridges between the two banks of the Prut River”, stated Nicu Popescu, Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, during a meeting in Bucharest with his Romanian counterpart Bogdan Aurescu, IPN reports.

According to a press release from the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the two foreign ministers addressed issues related to stepping up initiatives on energy interconnections and accelerating the process of liberalizing prices for roaming calls between the two countries.

Minister Bogdan Aurescu once again expressed the openness of the Romanian side to support the advancement of bilateral projects, which would produce a positive impact in the Republic of Moldova, thus supporting the agenda of reforms and economic recovery promoted by the authorities in Chisinau.
