President Nicolae Timofti sent a congratulation message to Pyotr Poroshenko on the occasion of his victory in the presidential elections in Ukraine, IPN has learned from the presidential press service.
Nicolae Timofti expressed his conviction that the rich professional experience and perspicacity of Pyotr Poroshenko will contribute to stabilizing the situation in the country, to ensuring its territorial integrity and to continuing the initiated reforms and changes. This will bring Ukraine closer to the family of European peoples.
The head of state reiterated the readiness to work intensely together in order to extend and develop the traditional relations of friendship between Moldova and Ukraine and to realize the whole potential of the bilateral cooperation for the benefit of the people from both of the countries and in the interests of peace and security in the region.
Pyotr Poroshenko was elected President of Ukraine by one round of voting on May 25.
