New Registers of households implemented
The new Registers of population’s households, valid for a 5-year period, have been implemented in in villages, and towns of Moldova as from January 1, 2007.
The new models of new Registers of population’s households have been approved in compliance with a Government’s decision. The instruction regarding the upkeep of registers will be worked out and approved within 2 months by the National Statistics Bureau, in concert with the Ministry of Local Public Administration, of Economy and Commerce, of Agriculture and Food Industry, of Informational Development, of Finances, Agency for Constructions and Territorial Development and Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre.
Local authorities will ensure the implementation of the new Registers until February 15, 2007.
The Ministry of Informational Development is going to work out the electronic version of the registers within three months.
The new Registers will provide the local and central public authorities with compete and authentic data regarding the situation of the population’s households in rural and urban areas as outlined in the Law on local public administration.
The Registers include the list of the household’s members, including the state numbers of identification, date of birth, nationality, citizenship, qualification, workplace, information on absent members of the household, cause of their departure etc. The Registers will also incorporate information about the household’s lands, animals and poultry in private property, means of transport, indexes that characterise the houses and household annexes, other sources of property and incomes etc.
