The Central Election Commission unanimously voted in favor of Leonid Vintu, who is a substitute candidate on the list of the Liberal Party, holding the post of councilor of the Chisinau Municipal Council, IPN reports.

The post of councilor became vacant when the Liberal Iurie Dirda was elected as an MP. The next substitute candidate on the Liberal Party’s list was Gabriela Ciumac, but she renounced the post of councilor in favor of her current position.

The Chisinau Municipal Council consists of 51 councilors.
