New local elections will take place in Chiperceni commune of Orhei district on May 18. A decision to this effect was approved on Tuesday by the Central Election Commission, IPN reports.

Lionid Savca tendered his resignation and, consequently, the post of mayor became vacant. The reasons for the resignation are not specified.

On May 18, new local elections will be held to choose the members of the Temeleuți village council in Florești district. The current council is to be dissolved because it hadn’t adopted any decision for seven months.
