New decisions by the commission for exceptional situations target the Security Zone

The Commission for Exceptional Situations (CSE) has decided to activate the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism, allowing for international assistance to be requested for the installation of a 125 MW gas turbine at Termoelectrica, as well as 10 turbines with a capacity of 10 MW each at Termoelectrica and CET-Nord. Another request involves procuring 100 generators for medical, social, and educational institutions in the Security Zone, IPN reports.

Additionally, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will temporarily provide, free of charge, electric generators to the Bender Identity Document Issuance Service of the Public Services Agency, the Tighina Forestry Enterprise under the Moldsilva Agency, and the Copanca Village Hall in Causeni District.

Another decision involves transferring 350 tablets from the National Bureau of Statistics to the Ministry of Education and Research for educational institutions in the Security Zone.

From the government’s intervention fund, 1.3 million lei will be allocated to local public authorities in Molovata Nouă, Coșnița, Pârâta, and Copanca to ensure the continued operation of institutions and public services in certain localities within the Security Zone affected by the risk of an energy crisis.
