Ten persons will be proposed for member of the Central Election Commission and the candidates will be examined by Parliament in its September 16 sitting, IPN reports.
Under the legislation, CEC has nine members, eight of whom are nominated by Parliament and one by the President. They are confirmed to post by a majority of votes of MP.
The candidates are Alexandru Berlinschii, Angelica Caraman, Sergiu Gurduza, Ludmila Lupașco, Alexandru Musteața, Vasile Postolache, Vitalie Miron, Lilian Enciu and Vadim Banaru.
The mandate of the current CEC expired in June, but was extended for 90 days owing to the electoral period prior to the snap parliamentary elections of July 11.
The agenda of the September 16 sitting also includes a bill to amend the Constitution and a bill to amend the Law on the Supreme Court of Justice.
