A boy aged 16 from Hagimus village of Causeni district got drowned in a pond near the settlement on Wednesday, August 11. He went to swim and did not come back. Villagers recovered his body shortly afterward. Liliana Puscasu, spokeswoman for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that three more persons drowned in Moldova’s waters during the last two days. A man aged 59 drowned in a pond near a village of Drochia district, a 31-year-old man lost his life in the pond of Bogdanesti, Briceni, while a man aged 42 drowned in a lake in Natalievka village. The bodies of the three men have been recovered. As many as 161 persons have drowned in Moldova this year.
