New American Congress to increase control over external policy in relations with Russia
US Congressional Research Service prepared the report “Key Issues for the 110th Congress” which, amid others, sums up the sphere of Russian–American relations where the countries cooperate and the domains where the positions of Russia and USA differ, RIA Novosti reports, cited by Info-Prim Neo.
The last includes the “Russian interference in Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine” as well as the support accorded by the Russian Federation to Iran and its nuclear programme.
On the other hand, the report says, Russia is worried by the influence or “interference” of USA and NATO in many of the former Soviet states.
