New ambulances distributed to 17 emergency medical assistance unis

 Another part of the 69 new ambulances bought at the start of this year were distributed to emergency pre-hospital medical assistance points and substations in 17 communities of Moldova on July 24, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, a sum of 51 million lei was allocated by the Government for  purchasing the 69 ambulances.

Last week, 23 ambulances were distributed to emergency medical assistance points and substations in Moldova. Earlier, there were distributed three more ambulances. A number of 27 vehicles are yet to be delivered.

Recently, the Government and the Council of Europe Development Bank signed a lending agreement to  the value of €12 million for buying 170 ambulances, 35 of which of type “C” (intensive care units) and 133 of type “B” (first aid units).
