Negative COVID-19 test result mandatory when entering Italy for vaccinated persons too

The persons who come from or transited the Republic for Moldova during the past 14 days will be able to enter Italy only for work, absolute urgency, health needs, studies, return home, to the domicile or residence. As of December 16, the presentation of a negative PCR or antigen COVID-19 test result is mandatory for entering Italy. The vaccine certificates are not accepted as an alternative to the test result, IPN reports.

The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Italy said that the Council of Ministers of Italy recently approved a decree-law by which the state of emergency and the measures to contain the COVID-19 pandemic are extended nationwide until March 31, 2022.

The persons who crossed or transited the Republic of Moldova during the past 14 days should fill out a passenger locator form and should present the certificate showing that a molecular SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic test was done 72 hours prior to the entry into Italy or 24 hours in the case of the antigen test.

The persons are obliged to self-isolate at the address indicated in the passenger locator form for a period of ten days and to inform the local health authorities and to do one more test when this period is over. The children under six do not need to have molecular or antigen tests.

The given measures are valid until January 31, 2022.
