The national U17 water polo team of Moldova has won the Nations Cup held in the Czech Republic, IPN reports.

Dmitrii Pisari’s and Vladimir Stucalo’s pupils defeated Latvia, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Cyprus and drew with South Africa. The competition involved 12 national teams. Artiom Lutchenko scored 22 goals and shared the title of top scorer with an athlete from Lithuania.

The athletes of the national juniors team of the Republic of Moldova next year will compete in the qualifying rounds of the European U19 Water Polo Championships.
