On August 16, 2006, the National team of Moldova will play a friendly match with the national team of Lithuania, on “Zimbru” stadium. The match will be officiated by Ukrainians with Vitali Godulean as referee. Aglimantas Liubinsk, the chief coach of Lithuania’s national team declared at a press conference, on Tuesday, August 15 that he does not consider his team having the first chance, but just capable of turning the score favorable for it, as the previous games showed. The match with Moldova will be the third game this year for the representative of Lithuania. In the previous two games, the team of Liubinskas won Albania in Tirana (2-1) and Poland in Beltachow (1-0). The national team of Lithuania will play in Chisinau without 4 basic players. The forward Edgars Jankauskas and the defender Nerijus Barasa (both from Hearts, Scotland) will be missing because of some injuries, and the midfielder Edgaras Cesnauskis (Saturn, Russia) and the defender Devidas Semberas (CSKA, Moscow) are suspended because of the red cards they were given in the matches of the World Cup – 2006 preliminaries. Anatol Teslev, the main coach of the national team of Moldova, declared at the same conference that the composition of the team was announced only two days before the match, extremely short time for elaborating a proper strategy for this game. The trainings based on physical rehabilitation so that the players could give their best. Teslev also declared that there are some problems in the defense, because the players he was counting on are either injured or are playing in the U-21 national team, which will meet on Tuesday evening the U-21 national team of England. Only two players from the national league were included in the team. Teslev justified this by the poor evolution of the players from the National Championship.
