The national football team of Moldova slipped one spot in the FIFA world rankings to the 159th. The team trained by Igor Dobrovolski is to play a friendly match against Israel (June 6, Netanya) and a match against Georgia (June 11, Chisinau) of the 2018 World Cup qualifying competition, IPN reports.
Among Moldova’s opponents in Group D of the qualification campaign, Wales takes the best position – 13th. Ireland ranks 26th, Austria – 36th, Serbia – 49th, while Georgia – 122nd.
The FIFA rankings are topped by Brazil, which is followed by Argentina and Germany. The next rankings will be released on June 1.
