Moldova’s cadet champion Natalina Brinza medalled bronze at the Table Tennis World Cup that took place in the Republic of Fiji, IPN reports.
The athlete from Balti competed as part of the national team of Europe, alongside Russia’s Elizabet Abramean, Italy’s Jamilia Laurenzi and Romania’s Elena Zaharia. In the group stage, the squad of Europe beat the opponents from Africa and Oceania 5-0, but lost to North America 1-4.
In the semifinals, Europe was defeated by Asia 0-3, while in the match for the bronze medal it won against South America 3-0.
