Difficult choice between Mahatma Gandhi and Mata Hari
The arrest of the ex-President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon was the central event of last week. There is a lot of skepticism as to the fact that the investigation of the case of Dodon will have an end result. How they say, we will live and see. There is one interesting aspect of the detaining of the informal leader of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM). The truth is not long before Dodon’s arrest, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the All-Union Pioneer Organization on May 19, the coalition partners of PSRM remembered the treasons and traitors, posting an article on the issue on the official website of the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova (PCRM)
PCRM’s return to the subject of treason and traitors, after the: a) constitution of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS) ahead of the snap parliamentary elections of 2021; b) joint participation in the same elections; and c) permanentization of the coalition, is a signal that BCS has serious cracks. The point is PCRM hasn’t taken part, alongside the PSRM, in the antigovernment protests, preferring to protest alongside Șor Party. An additional proof of the appearance of fissures in BCS is the fact that representatives of the Communists and Socialists came together in an urgent way to discuss the misunderstandings, as the document on the permanentization of the activity of BCS provides.
From the aforementioned, we can deduce that PCRM is not at all against the investigation of the treasons and other abuses committed by Igor Dodon, who claims to be a kind of Mahatma Gandhi who is persecuted by the government. To all appearances, for PCRM the informal leader of the Socialists Igor Dodon does not match the model of a disinterested fighter for truth and justice, the latter being rather a sybarite, a person who likes a wealthy and luxurious life. In this connection, it should be noted that PCRM in a very subtle manner tries to promote in the public sphere a potential substitute for Dodon as an eventual leader of the opposition. This way it is not at all accidental that for the stigmatization of Igor Dodon as a corrupt traitor, it is used an old recording that is over three years old of Natalia Morari. The latter recently announced her intention to return to the public sphere with a new political program (mission). Given that she already revealed her presidential ambitions, what has happened does not seem at all to be a hazardous game. It is believed that Natalia Morari can achieve her goals through the agency of specific relations in different circles in the country and abroad. Therefore, she created the image of a Mata Hari who is able to accomplish all kinds of special missions. Only the support of serious political forces is needed.
So, given the uncertainty about the country’s future, PCRM has to review its plans, banking on an eventual national leader who can keep the Republic of Moldova in the Russian sphere of influence. Certainly, Igor Dodon lost the main electoral battle in the recent period and fully discredited himself. That’s why the pretention to be a kind of Mahatma Gandhi of Moldova (MGM) does not suit him. Instead, the image of Mata Hari of Moldova MHM) perfectly matches Natalia Morari who, besides specific relations, seems to have access to large financial resources. Moreover, her backer is exceptionally able as during a short period of time he managed to subdue the justice system, the banking system and the insurance system and also particular mascots of Moldovan journalism. The most important thing is that the backer not only once confirmed his interest in politics. That’s why, having to choose between MGM and MHM, the Communists seem to be banking on the last candidate. It is not excluded that the Socialists will follow the example of their colleagues from PCRM and, for their part, will betray the traitor. Ultimately, negation of the negation is a normal stage of dialectical development.
Mission, view and message of MHM
In the future, MHM has a series of advantages against MGM. The latter is an extremely rigid example who refuses to admit his failures and uses only such slogans as: “Everything will be fine. Moldova has a future!” But he does not say what future the country can have and how this future can be built. Unlike MGM, MHM is much more flexible and sometimes even admits to the made mistakes, attracting the sympathy of large sections. For example, MHM tasted the presidential tushonka of Igor Dodon, but had the courage to admit that such behavior is inacceptable for an independent journalist. But these are minor facets. What really counts is that unlike MGM, MHM has a mission, view and message that is comprehensible to all those interested from the country and outside it. The given triad is fundamental for achieving the strategic goal and the set objectives.
Before revealing the view and message, MHM made a diagnosis to society – Moldova is absolutely sick! In such circumstances, the mission that became evident 13 years ago during the so-called Twitter revolution came to the forefront. Judging by appearances, the goal of the thwarting of the peaceful protests was to discredit the organizers and to later cause snap elections, which would have enabled PCRM to obtain a sufficient number of seats for electing in Parliament a President faithful to the interests of the Kremlin. The involvement of MHM in this process, alongside Eduard Baghirov, a citizen of the Russian Federation and a right-hand man of President Vladimir Putin, was crucial. The mission of MHM was almost accomplished as snap elections were held, but Vladimir Plahotniuc managed to split PCRM, attracting several key figures of PCRM into his own political project. From that moment, the mission of MHM went through different phases of adjustment to the new circumstances, but remained unchanged.
Recently, in conditions of accentuated regional uncertainty, MHM had to disclose the view on the Republic of Moldova and the role of this in the current circumstances. This way, according to the protagonist, the Moldovans are not fighters like the Ukrainians are. The Moldovans are programmed genetically to permanently wait for conquerors and invaders. Moreover, it does not go only to genetics or collective mentality. There is solid evidence – the Big House - showing that the Moldovans are waiting for the invaders. To be clear to everyone, the Big House in the home of any Moldovan plays the role of a standby hotel intended for the long-awaited guests. This view helps us to easier understand the mission – contribution to creating conditions for using the Big House according to its purpose. Appearances show the goal of the new media project of MHM will be to achieve this goal.
Ultimately, we should also insist on the message transmitted by MHM. This is very simple – unlike the Ukrainians who are not at all hospitable towards the conquerors, the Moldovans are tenderly waiting for the Putinist conquerors. The latters will be accommodated in the Big House that is full of basil, icons and all kinds of embroidered and laced staff. Not Ukraine, but Moldova is the perfect victim and this fact is confirmed by the recent efforts of the Moldovan Communists and Socialists.
Conclusions
The opposition of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists experiences the phase of misunderstandings caused by the previous betrayals of the leaders. The fissures between the Communists and Socialists make the first look for remarkable personalities who would substitute Igor Dodon as the leader of the pro-Russian parties in the Republic of Moldova. Such a figure was identified and started to be subtly promoted in the public sphere by PCRM. The given person is cardinally different from Igor Dodon owing to the financial potential this has. Moreover, the substitute has the main attributes of a successful enterprise – mission, view and a powerful and clear message comprehensible to the general public.
Recommendation
The Ministry of Education should devote special attention to the studying of genetics; archetypical psychology; sociology and material culture of the Moldovans if it wants Moldova to really have a future. The Baccalaureate exams should mandatorily test knowledge of the work of the great writer Ion Druță for the new generations of Moldovans to realize their purpose in life and for each of them to build by a Big House during their lifetime.
