The independent presidential candidate Andrei Năstase promises that, if he wins the election, he will restore tax and customs preferences for all residents of free economic zones, including newcomers. This includes the cancellation of the income tax for FEZ resident companies.
Năstase also believes that the term of operation of the FEZs should be standardized and extended until 2050 or, as he estimates it, for 10 years after Moldova will have joined the European Union. Moreover, the candidate says his administration would cover the costs of creating critical infrastructure for the new FEZ residents to thus create more jobs.
“In the last two decades, the free economic zones represented the only tool for attracting foreign investment of more than 500 million euros into our economy, which led to more than new 20,000 jobs, and which contribute to the formation of the state budget”, declared Năstase.
