The leader of the PPPDA Andrei Năstase said his party could file an application to be registered as an election contenders on the very first day, but waited for the components of the right to combine forces. He noted he wanted an electoral bloc with the PAS, by the model of the ACUM Bloc, but admits that the parties have different electoral agendas, IPN reports.

“I’ve always pleaded for the unity of the pro-European forces. Now we do not have this unity as there was the decision of other parties to run in elections separately. Against the background of the presidential elections, those from the PAS believe they can cope without us. Even if we are part of the same European family, we are different from the PAS. We plead for keeping the traditional values, for ensuring more social protection for doctors, teachers, farmers. Their agenda is slightly different from our agenda,” Andrei Năstase stated in the talk show “Important” on TVC 21 channel.

The politician is sure that his party will enter the next Parliament as they have a professional and upright team.

“We urge the people to vote depending on the integrity of the team of each party and on the delivered results. The PPPDA’s team in Parliament showed professionalism, involvement and definite results in different sectors. We do not have the money of those who form part of the teams of Shor, Usatîii, Dodon to pay the campaign conducted on TV or the Internet. They invest millions in coverage and advertising on the Internet,” noted Andrei Năstase.

The Central Election Commissions by now registered nine parties and blocs as contenders in the snap parliamentary elections of July 11 and is examining five more files. As it was decided preliminarily, the PPPDA will be under No. 9 on the ballot.
