The mayoralty of Chisinau will ensure this year the summer rest of 28,000 schoolchildren of Chisinau municipality, by 3,000 more than the last year. These figures were presented on Monday, at mayoralty’s operative meeting, by the head of General Education, Science, Youth and Sports Department, Alexandru Roman. At the same time, he mentioned that pupils of municipality would rest in 68 camps, 8 of them will function in the suburbs. For the first time this year, the mayoralty will organize the rest of 350 schoolchildren with health problems of the special schools at the „Speranta” sanatorium in Sergheevca, on the coast of the Black Sea. 17 million lei are to be allocated from the local budget for children’s rest, about 6,65 million lei more than the last year. According to Roman, the mayoralty for the moment ordered allocation of 13 million lei, other 4 million will be identified very soon. A holiday ticket in a summer camp will cost the local budget 850-900 lei, by 150 lei more than in 2005. Roman noted that these increases will not affect very much family budgets, because this year, as previously, the parents will pay only 20% of it, the rest of the money being paid from the city coffers. The mayoralty will make this year gas and sewerage installment works at the „Poienita Vesela” camp in Danceni, Ialoveni, where it will be organized along the year the rest of the teachers and „veterans of pedagogic labor” from the municipality.
