The city of Chisinau became part of a project to develop the public transport system by the model of the Polish city of Lublin, with an eligible budget for activities of €3.5 million. The municipality will contribute 5% of the sum, IPN reports, quoting the local authorities.

The financing is provided by the European Commission in the form of a grant in the framework of the project “Partnerships for Sustainable Cities in the Sothern and Eastern Neighborhood”, which finances projects in the municipal public transport sector.

The project will be implemented during 2021-2023.
