A Munich-Chisinau flight operated by Lufthansa was cancelled on March 9 owing to technical glitches. The administration of the Chisinau International Airport said that 1 hour and 45 minutes after taking the decision to return, the plane landed safely at the airport in Munich, IPN reports.
The problems were technical in character and included the damaging of the left and right chassis tires and of the inferior part of the wing owing to the spark while rolling.
The plane took off at 12:40pm. After the takeoff, the airstrip was examined and parts of tire were found on it. As a result of investigations, the pilot was informed and recommended to return, also because of the unfavorable weather conditions in Chisinau.
There were 29 passengers and four crew members on board. Everyone got our safely and went to the terminal. The passengers were to be transported by other flights.
