The second ordinary session of 2016 closes on December 23, according to the decision of the Parliament’s Standing Bureau. The MPs will return from vacation on January 16, 2017, IPN reports.

This week the MPs will hold plenary sittings on December 22 and 23. The agenda consists of 24 items, including the report on the administration and use of public financial resources and public property, presented by the Audit Office, a bill to increase the childbirth allowance and a decision to set up the special commission for improving the legal framework on alimentation of children in preschool and education institutions.

If the decision is supported by the MPs, the special commission will assess the alimentation of children in schools and kindergartens, will analyze the discovered irregularities and violations and will identify legislative solutions for improving the process of choosing business entities that supply food products to schools and kindergartens.
