MP Alexandr Nesterovski remains in custody in Penitentiary no. 13, while his fellow Renaissance Party member, MP Irina Lozovan, remains under house arrest, after the Chisinau Court of Appeal upheld the decisions of the lower court.
On September 21, Lozovan and Nesterovski were stripped of their parliamentary immunity and subsequently arrested on suspicions of receiving illegal financing from an organized criminal group led by Ilan Shor.
The lawmakers deny any wrongdoing.
